Profile

The Department of Chemical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes is committed to the progress of Colombian society. Recognized for his contribution to the formation in the area of chemical engineering by leading the multiscale approach in the design of products and processes. This department accounts with the research group of Products and Processes Design Group (GDPP) where the safety process group is highlighted. The safety group was created on the year 2008 and since then has devoted the work of undergraduate students, magister students and professors to the process safety research and development at Colombia and Latin America.

This mission goes in the same direction from the process safety group of the Chemical Engineering Department, which has been characterized by researches development of different risks calculations such as individual or social risk, applied on real cases.
