Profile

NIS is one of the biggest vertically integrated energy companies in Southeast Europe. Its principal activities are exploration, production and processing of crude oil and gas, sale of a broad range of petroleum products, as well as the implementation of energy projects. Transformation of NIS from a national petroleum company into a regional energy holding is incorporated in the company’s Development Strategy by 2020. In accordance with sustainable development as a guiding principle, NIS is continuously expanding its operations in the fields of renewable and sustainable energy (utilization of natural gas for electricity generation, wind generation and geothermal energy).
